When I was started as a programmer in 2000 just after my high school final exams, when I was 17, it was just HTML, javascript, and ASP(Active Server Pages).

Like many youngsters in Myanmar (Burma) at that time, I did not know what to do since there were not many options for us. But luckily, I was introduced to computers when I was in 8th grade by my father and I fell in love with them. So I decided to join the Level 1 Computer Course at Myanma Computer Co, LTD., which taught some basic programming using C & C++, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Then I joined Level 2 at the same place, VB6 was introduced. After Level 2, I joined the machine room (computer practical room for students) as a job training student to help and to practice myself with my newly learned VB6 programming. Each level 1,2 course lasted 3 months.

One evening in December 2000, while I was on my way to my assigned practical room, I saw someone playing with animation. So I asked my teacher what was that course, he said it was Web Development Course. That was how I was introduced to web development.

At that time, my country Myanmar (Burma) was under harsh military rules, no one had access to the internet except some people and only a few people from some institutes because of military government restriction and it was quite expensive. The connection was dial-up.
