For the first-timer or refresher, sometime it is quite difficult to create your first cv/resume or modify the existing one. The most imporant fact about the CV/Resume is that it must be relevant to the position that you are applying and it must be easy to read and understand. Therefore, I would like to share how to prepare your CV/Resume to get a job. It is also important to make your email look professional as well.

CV and Resume are basically the same, both represent you. CV is slightly more academic and Resume is slightly more professional side.

These are the basic yet the most important facts that one need to be aware while making or modifying the CV/Resume.

  1. List the most recent job at the top in your employment history.
  2. Make sure you write your former company name in correct neatly in right cases.
  3. Make sure you write your sentences in correct forms and cases.
  4. Do not put background colour anywhere.
  5. Write your university and institution name correctly.
  6. Put your name in single line.
  7. If you want to add your photo, make it proportional.
  8. Put your email and phone number only as contact information.
  9. Prepare your CV/Resume in Word format as some software cannot read pdf format.

I hope that my post helps someone who are in need. Wish you all good luck and health. Please leave a comment. Your feedback are valuable to me. Thank you very much.
