International travel checklist

Here’s the list of things you need to be aware of before booking a plane ticket.

Passport
- Your passport must have at least 6 months validity from your date of entry or departure to and from your destination. Some airlines won’t even allow you to board the plane.
Visa Requirement
- You must check if you require visa to enter your destination country. If require, you must apply it in advance and hold off booking plane ticket until you get your visa.
- There are two general types of entry into the countries, land and air. For some countries, there are different types of visa for land and air entry. So you should check which visa type you need depend on your prefer entry.
Health and Travel Insurance
- Check if you need health and travel insurance for your destination.
Money
- Check if you need to change your money in advance or you can do so when you get to your destination.
- Check if you can use your visa/master/jcb or your credit/debit cards easily.
- Check if you can access ATM or bank easily and safely.
Communication
- See if you need to subscribe international voice / data roaming or buy cheaper local sim card when you reach your destination.
Baggage & Custom Allowance
- You must be aware of what you can bring on the airplane. What items are allowed to bring with you from your departure country. What items you can bring into the destination country.
